QS World University Rankings
UEL was considered as the best state university in Paraná and the 4th best state university in Brazil, according to the QS World University Rankings. The ranking is published by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British consulting office especialized in higher education. Together with nine other institutions, UEL is the 10th best ranked among Brazilian universities. Federal University of Paraná holds the same position, and only these two institutions from the state of Paraná were classified in this ranking.
RUF
UEL was considered the 24th best university in Brazil, and the second best in Parana state (only behind the Federal University of Paraná), according to RUF (Ranking Universitário Folha), published by the journal Folha de São Paulo. UEL has improved one position, since it was in the 25h position in the previous ranking.
The University Impact Rankings
State University of Londrina (UEL) was classified in the group 301-400 amongst the most sustainable universities in the world, according to The University Impact Ranking in 2024. This ranking evaluated more than 2,100 institutions worldwide, and 55 of them were Brazilian.
The ranking recognizes institutions from all over the world according to their socioeconomic impact, based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) proposed by the United Nations. The university rector has reaffirmed the commitment of UEL to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
THE World University Ranking
UEL ranks among the best universities in Brazil according to the World University Ranking, published by the English magazine THE (Times Higher Education). Among the 36 Brazilian institutions in this ranking, UEL is the 5th best state university, excelling in research and teaching.
IGC
UEL is the highest ranked among the state universities from the South region of Brazil in the Índice Geral de Cursos (IGC) ranking, according to results published by the Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep), from the Ministry of Education (MEC). In the national scenario, UEL holds the 23rd position among Brazilian universities and 21st among public universities, stablishing herself among the top 4 state universities in Brazil.
