Outreach (Extensão, in Portuguese) involves interdisciplinary, political-educational, social, cultural, scientific, technological and innovative aspects, promoting transforming interaction between UEL and sectors of the society. This comprises a participative pedagogic process and practical application of knowledge.

Outreach activities are interventions which directly involve and impact communities external to the University and that are inseparable from teaching and research activities.

The Outreach, Culture and Society Office (PROEX) is currently involved in the management and/or control of more than 300 outreach programs, involving hundreds of professors and thousands of students.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a global call to action to end poverty, protect the environment and climate, and ensure that people everywhere can enjoy peace and prosperity. These are part of PROEX’s actions to help achieve the 2030 Agenda in Brazil.
