The International Relations Office (or ARI, its Portuguese acronym) is linked to the Rector’s Office and plays a fundamental role in establishing partnerships with foreign institutions in order to reach agreements that facilitate international academic cooperation. For this purpose, it seeks to support initiatives for the exchange of the university community, to host foreign visitors, to assist both students and professors in their proposals for international cooperation and to identify opportunities to strengthen the university’s internationalization. ARI also hosts both the Division for Afro-Brazilian Studies (NEAB) and the Division for Japanese Culture Studies (NECJ).
