What procedures should I follow?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Undergraduate students should follow the steps described in the \u201cApplying to UEL\u201d guide, available under the \u201cAcademic Exchange\u201d section on this website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general terms, interested students should fill out the Application Form and send it to our Academic Mobility Division at <a href=\"mailto:mobilidade@uel.br\">mobilidade@uel.br<\/a>, along with the appropriate documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The documents will be reviewed, and if accepted, an Acceptance Letter will be sent by email.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>How much do I have to pay to study at UEL?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>UEL is a public and tuition-free university for its students, so students approved to study at UEL will not have to pay any tuition fees. There might be a need to pay administrative fees, but these are exceptions and usually modest prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although there are no tuition fees, students must cover all their personal expenses. This includes plane tickets, transportation, equipment, food, accommodation, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>I want to learn or improve my Portuguese. Is there a Portuguese as a foreign language course at UEL?\u00a0<span id=\"docs-internal-guid-1e120e51-7fff-f87f-2dad-7c88b73459e9\" style=\"font-weight:normal\"><div><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;font-family: Arial, sans-serif;background-color: transparent;vertical-align: baseline\"><\/span><\/div><\/span><\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>To assist the international students, UEL offers Portuguese as a foreign language courses. They vary in content and teaching modality. Students from partner universities have the option of taking the Portuguese course online, in their home country, to improve the language in advance.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Further information: <a href=\"mailto:mobilidade@uel.br\">mobilidade@uel.br<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>If not, does it mean I cannot study at UEL?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>A student from a foreign university can conduct their academic mobility even if there is no current cooperation agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the absence of a current cooperation agreement, the student should contact our Academic Mobility Department to check the possibility of conducting their studies as a Free Mover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that even as a Free Mover, the student must be nominated by their home institution. After the nomination, the student must meet the same requirements and procedures as students covered by cooperation agreements. For more information about the procedure, please contact the Academic Mobility Department at <a href=\"mailto:mobilidade@uel.br\">mobilidade@uel.br<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>Is there student housing on the campus?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>UEL has student housing with reserved vacancies for regular students who meet specific social and economic criteria. The selection is made through a call for proposals. The International Relations Office offers support to mobility students with recommendations from other students who have had good experiences in accommodations spread across the city of Londrina. However, these accommodations are not affiliated with UEL.<br><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div id=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-455b6f55\" class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion exclusive\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>I am a graduate student, and I would like to study at UEL. What procedures should I follow?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Graduate students who wish to conduct their academic mobility, research, and other temporary activities at UEL should follow the steps described in the \u201cApplying to UEL\u201d guide, available under the \u201cAcademic Exchange\u201d section on this site.<br>If the objective is to take a full graduate course at UEL, you can access the procedures on the page <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uel.br\/international\/graduate\">https:\/\/sites.uel.br\/international\/graduate<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>In which language are classes given? Must I have a Proficiency Certificate in Portuguese?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Classes at UEL are mainly taught in Portuguese, so it is recommended that students have at least a basic level of Portuguese. However, there are several Brazilian government programs that open scholarship vacancies through calls for proposals. Students can also apply for scholarships and financial aid from other institutions. This means that students can study at UEL with financial aid from their home university, government, or private organizations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>Is there a cafeteria at UEL?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Yes, UEL has a University Restaurant with complete meals for lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday. Meals include dessert, vegetarian options, and juice. The cost of meals for students is R$4.70 (reference value for 2024).<br><\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item\"><summary class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__title\"><div><strong>Can I practice sports at UEL?<\/strong><\/div><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-themeisle-blocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Yes. UEL offers its students the opportunity to practice sports through the Physical Activity Program (NAFI).
